You can have three active, unarchived clocks, each with up to 72 hours of free tracking. Camera, photo and note evidence, person names, fresh receipt captions, saving and sharing, and reminders are available in the free app. Completed and archived records remain accessible. Complete or archive a clock to free an active slot.

Unlimited Clocks is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The planned US price is $1.99; the price shown in the app's Apple purchase sheet is the applicable local price. It removes the active-clock limit and the 72-hour tracking limit. Availability depends on the App Store product being available in your region.

A free clock pauses its displayed tracked duration at 72 hours and its free reminders stop being scheduled beyond that limit. Your evidence and original start time remain. You can still view, share, complete, archive, or delete the clock. Receipts label capped time as a 72-hour free limit. Unlocking Unlimited uses the original timestamps to show the full elapsed duration; it does not start the clock over.

There is no reset-timer button. Start a new clock for a new task or a fresh record. Archiving keeps the original timestamps; restoring a running clock returns it to Active with the same start time, and does not grant a fresh 72 hours. Restoring a completed clock returns it to Done. Existing records stay accessible; you cannot create another free clock while three or more are active.

Open Settings → Purchase details & restore (or the upgrade offer) and choose Restore Purchases. Restore is also available on the welcome screen. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Restore checks the purchase; it does not recover deleted clocks or photos. If the product is temporarily unavailable, try again later or contact support. Apple uses its sandbox for TestFlight in-app purchases. They are free test transactions and do not carry over to the released App Store app. The Petty Clock labels an active test purchase in Settings. Apple explains TestFlight purchases.

Choose a reminder interval from 1 to 24 hours when creating a clock, or open Clock options → Reminders. Allow notifications when asked. Each reminder shows that clock's title; tapping it opens that record if it is still available. Clock titles may appear in notification previews, including titles derived from a note when the title field was blank.

Completing, archiving, deleting, or switching reminders off cancels that clock's scheduled reminders. Changing the interval starts a new interval. Renaming an Unlimited clock replaces that clock's repeating reminder and starts its interval again; it does not change the clock's elapsed time. Free-clock title updates retain their existing reminder dates and original 72-hour deadline.

Free reminders use a limited queue of upcoming notifications. Reopen the app periodically to replenish later reminders before the 72-hour limit; Settings explains when coverage is limited. iOS controls actual delivery, so Focus, notification settings, and system scheduling can delay or hide an alert. An alert scheduled before the limit may be delivered late by iOS. Notification delivery is not guaranteed at an exact time.

Confirm the clock is active, its interval is enabled, and it has not reached the free 72-hour limit. Check iPhone Settings → Notifications → The Petty Clock, including alert styles and previews, and check Focus settings. Reopen The Petty Clock to refresh scheduling. Any scheduling issue appears in the app's Settings/reminder screen; use Try scheduling again if offered. Your clock still keeps its original timestamps when notifications are denied.

Open a clock and tap Share the evidence. Choose a message or write your own for this receipt. Use Style to choose the available photo or note treatment and Preview to inspect it. Save adds the image to Photos. The lower Share the evidence button opens the native share sheet; choose Messages or another available destination yourself. Sharing does not complete the clock, and the app never sends a message automatically.

If Save is denied, enable permission to add photos in iPhone Settings or use the share sheet. A recipient sees a snapshot, not a live timer. Each new share session starts with a fresh caption choice.

Deleting removes its record from the app and requests removal of its working photo. It does not remove the original image from Photos, saved receipts, recipients' copies, or prior backups. Archive is the way to keep evidence out of Active without deleting it. Do not delete the app as a troubleshooting step if you still need its local records; support has no server copy to restore.

In this app on your iPhone. There is no app login, developer cloud sync, or developer recovery service. Device backups may include app data according to your settings. Restoring an Apple purchase and restoring a device backup are different operations.

The current app targets iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Check Settings for the installed version/build when asking for help. TestFlight builds expire; open TestFlight for the build's remaining time and any available update. A website page or internal beta does not by itself mean a public App Store release is available.
