The small print, plainly
Your evidence.
Your business.
The Petty Clock privacy policy.
Last updated: September 21, 2026
The Petty Clock records how long something stays unfinished and creates receipts you choose to save or share. The app and this website are provided by Maker Frontier L.L.C. This policy describes the iPhone app, website visits, and support messages.
Your clocks and evidence
Clock titles, notes, optional person names, start and completion times, archive status, reminder preferences, and working copies of evidence photos are stored in the app on your iPhone. The app also stores small local records for first-launch setup and reminder timing.
The app has no developer-operated account, photo backend, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. It does not upload your clocks or evidence to Maker Frontier. We cannot browse or recover your local clocks from a developer server.
The app makes its own working copy of a selected or captured photo. That copy omits the source photo's EXIF and location metadata. Selecting an existing photo does not alter the original in your photo library.
Camera, Photos, and reminders
Camera access is requested when you choose to take a photo. You can also choose an existing photo through Apple's picker or write a note. Saving a receipt requests permission to add an image to Photos; the app does not require access to your whole photo library.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. When you enable them, they show the clock's title and a short reminder. A title can appear on your Lock Screen according to your notification-preview settings. If you leave a title blank, the app may use the first line of your note as its title. Edit a title if you do not want that text displayed. The app does not separately attach the evidence photo, note, person-name field, or receipt caption to a reminder.
You can turn a clock's reminders off in its reminder settings and manage Camera, Photos, and notification permissions in iPhone Settings. Denying these permissions does not remove your saved clocks.
Receipts you save or share
Receipts are rendered on your iPhone. They can include evidence, the optional person's name, elapsed time, dates, and the caption you choose for that receipt. Choosing or writing a caption does not make it a permanent clock caption. Older app records may retain legacy caption text locally.
Save creates a separate image in Photos. Share opens Apple's share sheet so you choose a destination and, where applicable, a recipient. The app does not automatically message anyone. A destination you choose receives the image and handles it under its own terms and privacy practices. Images saved in Photos may sync through iCloud Photos if you use it. Review your receipt before sharing it.
Purchases
The optional Unlimited Clocks upgrade uses Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple handles payment and the Apple Account used for the purchase. The app reads Apple's verified purchase status on your device to enable or restore the upgrade. It does not receive your payment-card details or send purchase records to a Maker Frontier backend. Apple's services operate under Apple's privacy policy.
Backups, retention, and deletion
Your app records remain on your iPhone until you delete them or delete the app. Archiving keeps a record; it does not delete it. The app does not exclude its saved records and working photos from device backup, so iCloud or computer backups may contain them according to your settings. The app does not provide its own cloud sync or server backup. Apple explains what iCloud Backup includes.
Use Clock options → Delete clock to remove a record. The app also requests removal of its working evidence photo. Receipts already saved or shared, original photo-library images, and existing backups are separate copies. Delete those using the service or device where they are kept. Deleting the app removes its local app data; offloading retains documents and data. Restoring a device backup can restore previously backed-up data.
TestFlight
For beta versions installed through TestFlight, Apple provides testing, diagnostic, and feedback services. Apple may provide the developer with crash logs, usage information, tester information, and feedback you submit. Screenshots or other content you include in feedback may therefore reach Apple and the developer. These services are separate from the app's local clock storage. See TestFlight's privacy information.
Website visits and support
Visiting this website is separate from using the app. Website hosting processes the connection needed to deliver these pages; the app's local-storage statements are not a promise that website requests create no server logs. This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as your IP address, browser/request details, and the pages requested, to deliver and secure the website. We have not added advertising, analytics, tracking cookies, a signup form, or a support form to this site. Application request logging is disabled in this site’s Worker configuration; this does not disable Cloudflare’s own operational and security processing. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
If you email support@makerfrontier.com, your sender address, message, and any attachments are provided to support and the email services used to deliver the message. We use support correspondence to respond to your request and retain it only as needed to handle the issue and meet applicable obligations. Share only information needed to explain your issue. You can use the same address for privacy questions or to ask about deletion of support correspondence. We cannot delete copies held by a recipient or recover clocks that existed only in your app.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its date when these practices change. For privacy questions, correction requests, or deletion requests about support correspondence, email support@makerfrontier.com.
